Puttur: Department of Social Work of St Philomena College Puttur in association with Grama Panchayath Narimogaru organized Health Awareness Programme on September 6, 2016 at Grama Panchayath Narimogaru.
Dr. Deepak Rai, Primary Health Centre, Manjunatha Nagara, Puttur Taluk inaugurated the programme and said, ‘Cleanliness should be taken as the first and foremost responsibility by everyone. We can be healthy only if we can take everything within us in a very clean and hygienic way.’
Panchayath Development Officer of Narimogaru Mr. Jerald Mascarenhas participated as the chief guest. The Head Master of DKZP Higher Primary School Narimogaru Mr. Vijaya Naika and Assistant Professor of Social Work, St Philomena College Mr. Johnson David Sequeira participated as the guests of honour. The President of Narimogaru Grama Panchayath Mrs. Chandrakala presided over the programme.
The Social Work Students Ms. Navya welcomed the gathering; Ms. Ranjitha proposed the vote of thanks and Vijayalaxmi compered the programme. The Panchayath members and the students of DKZP Higher Primary School Narimogaru benefited from the programme.
